Licensed Acupuncturist
Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM)
Elisa "Moonyeen" Weiss, L.Ac., EAMP (they/she) is a nationally accredited, licensed acupuncturist whose practice bridges East Asian medicine, trauma-informed care, and a deep connection to nature. They have provided care at Bellingham Community Acupuncture for the past two years and are now excited to join Nine Acupuncture. Moon works with patients to address acute and chronic orthopedic pain, internal imbalances, and emotional-somatic healing.
Raised on Lhaq’temish (Lummi) and Nooksack land, Moon volunteers weekly acupuncture for Lummi Tribal members in opioid recovery and offers care during Tribal Canoe Journeys each summer.
They began their studies at Five Branches University and graduated from the Middle Way Institute of Acupuncture in 2022.
In 2025, Moon fulfilled a lifelong dream by studying Daoist Medicine and internal martial arts at the Five Immortals Temple (五仙观) in Hubei, China, with Li ShiFu of the Wudang Dragon Gate and Pure Yang sects.
Inspired by their Chinese Daoist grandmother, Meiling Alps, Moon brings a legacy of ancestral, earth-based healing to their work. With a background as a field ecologist, Moon connects to the land as a wildlife tracker, herbalist, and teacher of qi gong and martial arts—guided by the rhythms of nature, the wisdom of the body, and the liberation of all beings.
A recent note about Moon:
Moon recently studied at the Five Immortals Temple on White Horse Mountain in the Wudang Mountains in Hubei, China! After connecting and studying with Lindsey Wei of Wudang White Horse Martial Arts and Healing, and learning of this temple years ago, the ancestral dream of learning from the source has finally unfolded. Moon will be studying the martial art forms, Fire and Water Taiji as well as taking a course in Daoist Medicine to learn new healing modalities and techniques. They are incredibly excited to learn from the revered Li ShiFu and the from the deep medicine that comes from these mountains.
